Victorian Bulldogs are emerged as an alternative of the show type Bulldog. It closely resemble to the English Bulldogs. The only distinction of the breed is that it is larger than English Bulldogs. The Victorian Bulldog holds a short, smooth and fine coat that is coloring pure white, solid red, brindle, fawn, fallow or white with spots of some other colors. The height of a Male Victorian Bulldog is 17 to 19 inches and females are 16 to 19 inches tall at shoulder. The weight of a male Victorian Bulldog is 70 to 75 pounds while the weight of a female of this breed is 55 to 65 pounds. The life expectancy of a healthy Victorian Bulldog is up to 12 to 15 years.

Victorian Bulldog is a gentlest, loyal, dependable and affectionate dog having true Bulldog spirit. Although its appearance is intimidating yet it is a calm dog. It is extra-ordinarily affectionate, trustworthy and good with kids, but also known for its fabulous courage and guarding capabilities. It is very much people oriented dog who desire for human attention and thrive on attention and care. It may tend to be happy if treated with a due attention and care. It is not only good with all members, but also a harmonious animal with other household pets. However; it may tend to be argumentative with strange dogs without adequate leadership and consistent training. Some of them may snore loudly and other may drool and slob. You should always be a firm and certain pack leader of your dogs. It needs fair grooming. The regular brushing can do well to keep its fur in good shape.
