The smaller version of Alaskan Husky, the spitz type breed of dogs. Just looking like the Alaskan Husky (the parent dog). Since fit for apartments, Alaskan Klee Kai is vigorous; intelligent that just reflects their Northern Heritage. It is a wonderful outstanding mix of Siberian, Alaskan Husky, Schipperke and American Eskimo. The main purpose of their production was to get a dog having the smaller size but with the sled and racing traits of their ancestors. It is a dog but not for everyone because it bark a lot with a high level of energy in it. Cordial and mild but rather reserved with the strangers. The smaller version of Alaskan Husky is known as Alaskan Klee Kai. It was developed during 1970 in USA privately by a breeder named Linda S. Spurlin She publicized it in 1988. It is a mix of Alaskan, Siberian Husky, Schipperke and American Eskimo, it was produced for the rest of smaller version with the racing and sledding capabilities. The name Alaskan Klee Kai was given it with respect to their origin of Alaska (USA) and the predecessor Alaskan Husky.
