In England, the Old English Terrier breed developed as sporting and working breed. The Old English Terrier was established during 17th & 18th centuries. Exceptional athletic and agile, the Old English Terrier is an outstanding working and sporting dog. It is holding extreme vigorous and high prey drive. Not only a dynamic working dog but also possesses a brilliant mind and doggie intelligent. Because of its brilliantly quick stride and intelligence, it can move as quickly as thinks. Overall, an Old English Terrier is not only hard-working and smart dog, but also an excellent companion. These dogs are exceptionally people friendly and tender, thus it forms a wonderful companion dog. If socialized well enough, it can get along with all ages. The coat of the breed has two varieties; the smooth or rough. The coat colors include black or black with a little white. The smooth coated variety can be easier to groom than the rough coat variety. The name “Old English Terrier” has been used to call many other breeds, but only one is registered with any registry.
