The Denmark Fiest also referred as DenMark Treeing Feist. Remember, Fiest is a type of dogs not a separate breed. Its history dates back to 1917s when Slade family bought a Fiest type dog. It has brought up and developed by Mark Slade and Dennis Willis and introduced as a separate breed in 1984, named Denmark Fiest. The Denmark Fiest is bred with an intention to have an excellent treeing dog with an outstanding ability to trail very silently. The Denmark Feist is bold, fearless, excellent guardian and hunting dog. It is nice family dog with a great dedication and loyalty toward family. Simply, a Denmark Fiest is a superb treeing & guardian dog and a family pet. With a considerable early socialization, it can tend to behave nicely with kids and other pets at home. Fairly intelligent, the Denmark Fiest can be trained with a positive reinforcement of the consistent and purposeful training. Being a working dog, the Denmark Fiest will like to have daily exercise in order to maintain its best health and fitness. The short coat of the breed is easy to groom. It is a medium sized dog, its height is 15 to 18 inches and weight is 25 to 35 pounds. The life expectancy of the Denmark Feist is 12 to 14 years.

The Denmark Fiests are medium sized dogs originated in U.S. The name Denmark is taken from the first name of its originator. It is also referred as Denmark Treeing Feist. Denmark Feist Appearance

The flat skull of the breed is moderately broad and tapering towards the muzzle. The Muzzle is broad and rather shorter than the head. Nose of the breed is always black. They sparking eyes are coloring dark. Tipped ears are permissible but sort drop ears are preferred. The tight and brawny neck is moderate in length and body is longer than the tall. The well arched feet are somewhat tight and rounded. It is mostly born with a bobtail. When it comes with natural tail, the natural tail is dense and thick at the base, while steadily tapered to the tip. The tail seems erect when dog is excited or alert; however, it remains straight out behind while in rest position. The thick and dense coat of the breed is rough. The coat colors of the breed include solid red or yellow and red with white spots.

The height of the Denmark Fiest is 15 to 18 inches and weight between 25 to 35 pounds.
