The Biewer Terrier, originally said to be Biewer Yorkshire Terrier a la Pom Pon and it was initially bred by Mr. and Mrs. Werner Biewer of Germany. Biewer dogs are cheerful and capricious. This is rather a new toy breed. They are known to be good with kids and other dogs. The Biewer Terrier is a trustworthy and pal to all he thinks the part of its family. Biewer Terrier History

Once in Germany, the Biewer Terrier become a breed in 1984 when a puppy borne in litter of Yorkshire Terrier, the first breeder of this unique breed was Gertrude and Werner Biewer. The puppy that was borne in Yorkshire terrier’s litter was had an extreme level of white marking all over its coat. This unusual and strange puppy was named Scheefloeckchen von Friedheck. Mr Biewers bred for the piebald gene in next coming years; he bred blue, white and gold Yorkies that were true to their colors. In 1988, Mr Biewer showed two unique dogs as “black and white Yorksies” after that it earned name Biewer Terriers. It was first recognized officially by one of Germany’s dog club, “the Allgeminer Club der Hundefreunde Deutschland e.V.” In late 1980s it got breed standard. In 2007 The Biewer Terrier Club of America was established. Recently, it is yet considered a rare breed.
